Supporting you through life's challenges
Counselling in reach of Wokingham, Bracknell and Finchampstead
Here at One Life Therapies, I understand that it can be difficult to navigate the ups and downs that life can throw at us. When faced with situations such as bereavement, anxiety, depression, illness or stress, it can be hard to know which way to turn or how to move forwards; we can feel lost, as though we are stumbling around in the dark. Sometimes it can be helpful to talk to a counsellor or therapist, someone unrelated to you, who can offer a safe, non-judgemental space in which to explore your feelings and thoughts.
Taking the first step in seeking help and making changes, by coming to counselling and starting to work with a therapist can feel overwhelming and even frightening. This can be especially hard if you are already trying to cope with uncomfortable feelings such as those that might accompany depression, generalised anxiety disorder or panic attacks. Going through relationship problems or parenting difficulties, can feel very lonely, at times.
You can be reassured that at One Life Therapies you will receive a warm, supportive and compassionate welcome and I will do my best to put you at ease from your very first contact with me.

I am a BACP registered, qualified humanistic counsellor, based in Wokingham, Berkshire within easy reach of Bracknell and Finchampstead. I offer individual counselling for adults. I also offer online and telephone counselling sessions if this better suits your needs.
I believe passionately in the power of talking therapies, to enable people to overcome difficulties, gain greater understanding of themselves and to support their mental health. I trust in my clients ability to know what is right for them and will work with you in a collaborative way to empower you to find your own solutions and way forward.

Meeting YOUR unique needs
I offer counselling for individual adults, in a way and at a time that suits your particular needs. My private practice, where I work as a therapist, is conveniently located in the centre of Wokingham and is close to the nearby towns of Woodley, Finchampstead, Bracknell, Camberley, Crowthorne, Earley and Reading.
My therapy room, which is warm, comfortable and modern is in a beautiful grade 2 listed building called Markham House which is easily accessable by both road and public transport and is a short walk from Wokingham station.
I believe that every person is unique and will each require something different from counselling. I will work with you in a bespoke way that ensures that you are able to get the most out of your counselling experience.
I am delighted to be able to offer flexible appointments at a variety of times throughout the week, including some early morning, evening and weekend appointments.
The current coronavirus outbreak is having a huge impact on all of our lives. The effects of this are far reaching and will vary from one person to the next. However, possible impacts for you may include additional caring responsibilities, financial hardship, exacerbation of underlying mental health problems and emotional difficulties, redundancy, work stress, family illness or even the loss of a loved one.
Perhaps you might benefit from some additional support at this difficult time? I am currently offering online and telephone counselling sessions. From 20th July I will continue to offer this but will also be re-commencing face-to-face sessions, for clients for whom telephone or online sessions are not appropriate. These sessions will be conducted in line with Covid-19 secure guidance. If you'd like to know more or to discuss your individual needs, please click on the phone or email buttons to the right.
